- Suggested Actions

This is a God-given responsibility toward the Jewish people. A church that wants to take this seriously should consider the following points:

1.Teaching: It should be a deliberate choice by the leadership to integrate the teaching about Israel from God’s Word into the whole congregation. Faith comes from hearing, and it is crucial that this part of God’s Word is communicated. If it is not preached, destructive voices may dominate.

2.Prayer: Make Israel a part of the church’s prayer life.

3.Financial Support: Paul is clear that since we are indebted to the Jewish people, we are obligated to serve them in practical ways. Centuries of contempt and persecution cannot be replaced by mere statements. Practical actions that demonstrate our love are essential.

4.Speaking Up: When Jews and Israel are harassed in the public sphere, it is important that we as the church are not silent bystanders. The church of God is the pillar and foundation of truth, and this applies in various areas. It is crucial that we raise our voices in defense of this people.

5.Travel to Israel: Organize trips to Israel for your congregation; it will deepen the understanding of what God is doing with this people in our time and enrich Bible reading with a new perspective.
